The Flag Bulletin (ISSN 0015-3370) was founded in 1962; the oldest journal in vexillology, it is the most respected. Since 1962, The Flag Bulletin served as the primary source for those who are serious about learning all aspects of flag history, symbolism, usage, and design. Published four times a year, it provided in-depth illustrated articles on flags of every era, area, and type. Each issue was documented and thorough. Overwhelmingly, the material published is found in no other source. Publication of The Flag Bulletin is currently on hiatus.
Indexes to The Flag Bulletin are available for the years 1961-2001 as indicated below. Additional indexes for the years 2002-2011 will be posted when available.
